That looks malicious?

I'm no killjoy but fireworks should be for organised use only IMHO. It's too easy for them to get into the wrong hands.

I've been saying this for years but people just come back withe the usual "stop trying to ban everything" and "it was perfectly fine when i was younger". The truth of the matter is that fireworks these days are way more powerful, and lethal, than they used to be. That said, when I was a kid (70s), there were plenty of people, including kids, who were maimed by them so there has been a case for only having licensed, organised displays for a long time.

not withstanding that I agree 100% with Marc, you do know the but in a sentence negates everything before it?

Don't think it was aimed directly at my property but fireworks once let of can go in any direction, that saying this one wasn't aimined at the sky and at an angle to cause damage to property or a person
 
It's just rediculous that explosives or on sale to the general public!

Organised events only and only three nominated dates of the calendar when they can be held.
 
I'm one of the usually silent majority who prefer fireworks to be sold to the public. Sure they're dangerous, but so are many things that we accept as part of everyday life.
 
I’ve always enjoyed fireworks, as a youngster in the 1970’s me and my friends would 'play' with bangers, atom bombs etc every year without (serious) injury.

The first time I went to France in the mid 70’s I was impressed that fireworks there were seemingly sold all year round and made our Standard and Brock's fireworks look decidedly puny!
 
and I've lived in a place where they were traditional and used for all celebrations, but then banned because they might be used by terrorists (and were). So there is a choice to make.
