Yes
lovely places dentisits.
an hour laying in a reclining chair, while one hangs onto my head.
the other tries to pull it off by tearing out on of my teeth.
tooth snaps off , and then the remainder has to be disected by drill into three peices.
then repeat first procedure three more times.
huge bill (admitedly covering my last visit , and my daughters last too).
buy ibuprofen in bulk.
drink luke warm tea, and swallow ibuprofen and anti biotics.
wake up this morning with blood all over pillow and face.
more luke warm tea.
more ibuprofen.
more anti biotics.

message to all young whippersnappers.
LOOK AFTER YOUR TEETH.
i bloody wish i had.

to be fair, my dentist is excellent.
its not her fault i didnt look after my teeth properly.
or the bill for sorting em is gonna be more than some holidays ive had.
or that my previous dentist was a ******.

I've been told to cut down on the fizzy drinks a lot, and i'm glad to say i've heeded this warning. tea, milk and water for me now!

So what hurt most the dentistry or the bill. Why is it so expensive anyway.
I can remember as a young child having some teeth removed. I was given gas to knock me out whilst it was done. When I came round I had my head over a sink with what looked to me like blood pouring out of my mouth as a nurse tried to clean the sink. Probably find it was just steady drips, but at such a young age things do look deceptive.

the bill was painfull.
they are awfully expensive.
but if they do the job right, i can live with that.
and she is an excellent dentist. tells you exactly what she intends to do.
checks on you continously.
and does a realy good job.
the gob is a lot better tonite.
no more blood.
but i have to be very carefull what, and how i eat for a few days.
amased how much effort it took to get the bloomin thing out.
even joked that either the tooth was coming out, ore my head was coming off.
either way, i'd be a lot better.
apparently my teeth have a very good blood supply.

As a result of an accident I had to have all of my teeth removed - fortunately (?) on the NHS since I was out of work at the time.... (It was done in two sessions under local anesthetics - a total of over 50 injections in my mouth before they could pull out what was left of my teeth. The damage was so extensive it was irrepairable)

You really don't want the six month diet of mash potato and mince as your gums are healing enough to eat anything else. Trust me on this one!

Of course, I've got dentures now - I just won't wear them.

I'm sure dentists can prescribe stronger painkillers. If not pop along to your GP and get some co-codamol.

You have my sympathy. I've been to two dentists and a doctor in the last week. It looks as if the pain might be an inner ear infection, not that they can see anything either by looking in my ear or on the various x-rays they've taken, but its reduced a lot after 24 hours of antibiotic ear drops. Back to the doctors tomorrow.
