Other than fire...

We have a few conkers near the windows and doors and don't get many in at all. The conkers do need replacing after a while as they lose the aroma deterrent after a while.

In my experience they only work if your aim is good :D

Yup, I AM a b@57@rd!

Spiders don't really bother me an up to a couple of years ago I picked most of them up and deposited them out of the nearest window or door however I'm a little more selective about the ones I pick up now.....

I was at a wedding an a few women were being a little hysterical at a moderately sized spider in the lobby so I dutifully picked it up. Whilst walking to the neared door I was aware of a slight stinging sensation in one of my fingers so I uncupped mu hands and the little blighter was hanging off one of my fingers. It was at that point I decided to ditch the humane approach, flicked it to the ground and stamped on it

My Dad & brother-in-law just laughed at me and told me I must have imagined it........

Thankfully there were no lasting effects although I read a story in our local paper about a guy getting bitten by a spider (description matched the one that bit me) and he had all kinds of health problems as it left him with some kind of bacterial infection :|

So now if it looks like it's capable of attaching itself to me I use the tried and tested glass & paper/card method of disposal

They don't really bother me but the missus has a mild panic attack if swift action isn't taken

However...... if we ever had a snake problem...... that's a different story :help:

Got to admit I can't stand spiders in the house. The safest option for me is usually the hoover with the long hose attachment.

I once woke up in the middle of the night with one dangling directly above my face. I hate to think what might had happened if I had'nt woken up, probably would'nt be here now to tell the tale.

Wouldn't even be able to get that close

Can't bear seeing pictures of them or even watching them on the TV.

You would'nt like this waterpark I went to in Spain. When you go in they have a photo booth type setup and they immediately force you into it and chuck a python over around your neck.

On the plus side it happens so quickly you don't even have time to realise it's a snake. They don't bother me but my mate who was with with is terrified, so good that he did'nt notice really.

Wouldn't happen!!! Trust me I'd be off in a flash (you remember road runner.... meep meep <puff of dust>

:whistling::welcome::schtum:

I put them in the spare room. Though I suspect they go out foraging at night.
Though I see few spiders and even fewer other bugs these days.

Well, lets hope they eat them, and don't deposit them at (or on) your feet as gifts.
