Off to Amsterdam next month and want to treat myself to a new travel tripod as my old (too big to travel with is on its last legs) (no pun intended )

Anyway its got to be compact enough to fit in hand luggage on Easyjet, im going to be picking up this case so needs to fit into here (Size H55, W41, D24cm.)

Best tripod ive found so far is this one Hama Compact Traveler Pro but just wanted to see if you lot can recommend anything else.

:)

Same one I'm looking at to go to Egypt with. ( think it's that one)

Not bad for the price, and a necessity for certain photography.

I won one of these and it has proved to be a pretty good travel tripod, 3 way head isn't changeable but it's small and light and sturdy enough for a decent DSLR/lens combo and comes in a bag

I have a Hama traveller mini, when the Manfrotto 190 is too big, you have to bend down a bit use it but I reckon longer legs on traveller pro would be too bendy, plus the mini is only £17 on Amazon, plus it's super compact folded, works with my D90 with medium weight lens, better with my X10 though.

Might be best to get confirmation that a tripod will be allowed as hand baggage. At a guess, a spike footed one will be a big no-no. I have a Giottos Vitruvian for travel. CF so light and measures just 391mm with the QR plate removed. Not a cheap option though!Tall enough for me (6'1") to use standing up and sturdy enough for a D700 with a 24-70 f/2.8 mounted. Rubber feet so no spike problem!

Cheers that one looks ideal for what I need, quick release plate would be better but for £17 can't really grumble! Will certainly do the job doing some night and HDR shots in Amsterdam.

MK394-H £59, looks spot on!

Hot it from currys! Mind I did have an argument as I was wanting to buy canon 430exII flash,
£220 there but can get them off online digital for £177 they are robbing buggers!! They wouldn't reduce so they lost that sale there!

Can wholeheartedly recommend the CF Giottos Vitruvian tripods. Ideal for travel. Bought one a few months back. Wish I'd done so when they were first released.

Hama Compact Traveler Pro. Got one of these in the summer to fly with. The legs have got rubber stoppers. Great little tripod - well impressed with it.
