Talk is a great forum with plenty of help just when you need it. I also use the following photography forums:

Photoportal: A small forum which is very much like a family which provides useful help and advice.
Open Photography: New to this one so cannot comment
Photography forums: New to this one, but seems to have a good solid member base
Nikon cafe: A great USA based forum for us Nikon users
RPS: As a member and looking to get LRPS it is a great help
NikonUKTalk: Break away arm of Nikon Cafe. Good UK forum for Nikon owners.

I am also a member of about 20 other forums for various other hobbies like Classic Minis, Land Rover Discovery 3, Motorhome/RV, Hi fi kit, ex forces etc.

Regards

Chrsi

DP Review now and again. There's some good stuff there, but the attitudes, egos and downright rudeness can be a pain. Fred Miranda too, and tends to be a bit more civilised. TP is the best I've found though.

A toss up between this one and Canon Fodder Forums.
I like this site a lot as there are a lot of knowledgable members of all dominions and I have learned a lot by uploading images and asking questions, taking on board whats been said but what really gets my goat is the usual "Canon v Nikon" debates. It doesn't matter what camera you choose to buy - just use it and enjoy it!!
Also the fact that you have to wait a certain time between searches does my head in.

CFF is Canon based and is also good for hints and tips.

I also use Ephotozine as its the only site I can open at work. I get the Access Denied screen with TP and CFF

I hate this forum. It's taken away hours/days/months of my life due to my addiction to reading and posting here. DAMN YOU TP! DAMN YOU!

... ok I take it back... I love it... just one more hit please...

Therer is more to the interweb. must go search it out.

Back in 5 minutes:)

I found that "luminous landscape" was good for discussion on colour management and kit, pretty much without griping and egos. And landscape photography locations in the US.

DPreview very big, but lots of apparently grumpy posters (at best).

TP much friendlier.
