OSX and Photoshop - Batch Image Processing

I've imported a load of CR2 files onto my Mac using iPhoto, however due to the convoluted way it does it I cannot now work out how to open the original iPhoto files (the imported CR2 files) in Photoshop to do a batch processing of them. The iPhoto library is greyed out when I try and open the folder in Photoshop.

Now obviously I can open the folder they are in in Finder through iPhoto and then copy them all in to another folder but that is such a backwards way of doing it. There must be some other way of getting round it? Other than just deleting iPhoto and not using it...

Any help that doesn't involve duplicating several GB of files just for one program would be good.

Unfortunately I would say that if you really need to do batch processing in Photoshop you should do that before you import them in iPhoto.
