Oooh thanks for the heads up! :-)
Not looking to clever here though...more cloudy than not. :(

Clear skies here ATM but I'm knackered and doubt I'll be awake much after 9 tonight! Probably be awake at 5 or so so I might have a look then (if I remember!)

As Ruth said, thanks for the heads up.

Just logged on to post this....saw your post and looked outside......full cloud cover!

Thanks Cobra. Forecast here says partly cloudy after midnight.

The best thing I can do to help anyone else to see the shower is not to look for them. In 50+ years of stargazing I've seen all the naked eye planets, once the five brightest at the same time; three comets; loads of satellites, lots of DSOs but even after staying up late many times I have never seen a meteor shower.

Good luck all.

Dave

You have the same luck as me then Huh? :(
Although I did see a rather cracking comet in Spain recently! It even left a vapour trial as it burned across the night sky

Is that like a vapour trail, but more stressful? ;)

Perhaps they should move it to June so we can get a clear sky.
July to September would have worked great here this year, in fact the Perseids were good this year!

They cant even get a little lander thingy to land on Mars! Not much chance of moving a whole bunch of flying rocks, iron and stuff......

Damned autonomous vehicles...

I knew I shouldn't have bought a key board from our local "help the dyslexic shop" :(

No wonder the Martians invaded us, they probably thought we were attacking them, when it exploded on impact :D

Damned autonomous vehicles...
They should leave that side of things to Google ....
Oh wait, no, the 1st one they tested in CMK hit a bollard ...
Its kinda in keeping though, the Open University ( in MK ) had some in put into the Mars lander :D
