Origin of your user name?

Had a great fishing holiday near SARLAT in France - just turned it around to be different! :)

It's what people call me, Scottish abbreviation for George :)

Hubby's nickname at work is Hesh (don't ask) so i became Mrs Hesh on forums

It's a rubber thing. ;)

I've been Nod since about 6 months before I was born and it's stayed with me all these years. It may not be my real name but more people know me as Nod than as my real name.

Have to use a picture to explain mine, used it on first tog forum I joined years ago, used to have it as an Avatar but as you can see it is a bit over the top.

My surname... Wigmore. My nickname in school: "wiggy", wiggy is actually quite a common nickname it seems, so on some forums I use "Wigster" some "wiggy"

Mine's a track by David Holmes, that features in Oceans Eleven (the new version). I went through a phase of using songs that I like as my MSN screen name. Journey Man was one too, after the Jethro Tull song. I was called GrittyShaker when I joined up to another forum three years ago, and I'm used to being called Gritty now, so I've stuck with it.

bellyboy i cant help but love the name where you live, cockermouth lol priceless

Yes COCKermouth CUMbria - also known locally as knobingob :D

Although famous for Wordsworth and John Dalton rather than the name - Apparently is is named after the mouth of the river Cocker (or it was an old victorian dogging site!)

I'm just Phil on other forums but Dinners has been my nickname since I was about 7 years old.

Mine's just simply my first name and the D J's the initials of my middle and surname. And that I'm not an actual DJ. :D
Actually, I can't ever recall being given a nickname . . ., well, I get called a couple of names at my workplace but since this is a family forum I can't repeat what they are!

mines my first name (lawrence) and then other names abbreviated (OTS)

Its my nickname...
Simple as a Point and click

Born in France, living in Northern Ireland, it is also my nickname, wonder why !!!!!!!!!!!!

Holden Caulfield, is the principal charecter in the Book 'Catcher in the Rye' by JD Salenger.

I see a lot Holdens attributes in myself, I feel that most people are 'phoney' , selling out their ideals for the sake of short term consumerist ideas, which is why we live in such a screwed up world.

And I have been know to leave things on trains ( you will need to read the book)

Mine came from a book I read when I went to uni as a mature student. In it was the mention of a grass/herb Samphire - liked it used it since then 1996/7 sometimes tag it with a 67 at the end.

How corny is that? :D
at around 22-25 secs the guy on the left looks like your "Frisbee" picture,IIRC
is that you moonlighting John ? :D

Cobra? well, why not?
Sssssssssssssssssssseemed like a good idea at the time :D

it was my name when i was a DJ.

Specialman was a stickman character I made up at school while doodling in maths lessons. His pal was Mustafa Brain; a fly with an enormous cranium who looked a wee bit like Saddam Hussein. Oh, and there was Ralf the fly. He was a fly. He wasn't related to Mustafa.

(A tear of nostalgia rolls down my face...)

The first forum I ever joined was a football forum that already had a member called Rob so I stuck some hyphens round it. I soon became known on that forum as 'Larde' because we had a forum meet in a pub and when I walked in the 'original Rob' shouted "Oh look who it is, the posh Rob with his la de dar hyphens". I've stuck to using -Rob- where I can on all the forums I've used ever since. I'm not posh though.

A mixture of 'The Young Ones' being popular at the time and general name calling at school.

My first name is Neil.

Luckily most people (in real life) don't call me Orange Peel. It's now either OP or Mr Peel.

Mine is just my initials, i have no imagination :).

That's funny Orange Peel, first thing i thought of when i saw your nick was the sketch in young ones

You're not the same Orange Peel from TZ-UK are you, can't be too many around!! lol

Nah, not that Orange Peel.

I've also started using NASOP which are my initials + OP for when Orange Peel is used.

"magic" was the word I used most when I was little, to describe something as good, cool, great, etc. It's never gone and I still use the word "magic" in the same context.

DH has a name for me which part of it is "Mynx". He's called me that name since we first got together, usually in slushy text messages, that kind of thing, so I started using Mynx in usernames. I usually don't use the same username on more than one forum though.

I'll give you 3 guesses as to where my username came from :D

bellyboy i cant help but love the name where you live, cockermouth lol priceless

lol made me chuckle too... mind you I lived for 4 years at somewhere where the postcode ended in 5BJ - always lots of hidden chuckles from the other end of the phone line when I gave it out on the phone!

Mine is derived from my email addy...which came from one of my cats, Ninja and the Katt was because all other variations of Ninja/Ninjacat/Ninjacatt were taken!

This is my first year learning photography and one of the motorsport paps had been teaching me how to understand my camera whenever we were at the same event. Towards the end of the season one of the Marshal's asked him where his student was and it sort of stuck lol

Lead character was Deke Rivers From the film "Loving You"

Mine is one brought across from various Staffordshire Bull Terrier Forums and is because of my work for Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue and the fact I often ferry them around hence the taxi bit.

Taken from the name of a small town in the Appalachian mountain range, called Hepburnia.

Mine is simple enough....Maddy's angles.....on stuff.....via the camera...usually.
