Origin of your user name?

Hi,

Mine's a pretty obvious guess....I love the stuff and always have. I've had this user name for a long time and I use it most places on the net.

Mike.

I used to own a Trapper Yacht, the one in the pic, and I still run the owners association website. It is also my ebay trader id.

I occassionally find myself trying to figure out where peoples user names come from. I know its sad but wwhere is yours from,,,? Mines one of the obvious ones as its most of my real name!

Dunc

Don`t ask, mine`s because I love the country life, shooting, fishing, my Lurchers etc, it was given by the landowners who`s land I used to hunt (with permission) when I was very young.

Self explanatory, no?
It's also a nickname of mine for my 'online' friends
I use it, or a username containing it for anything on the net!

I am a bright thing!!

We used to have a Ford Puma, which we called Winnie the poo(ma). Of the many cars I've owned Winnie was one of my all time favourites.

My surname is Tapp, I was given the nickname Leaky when I was about 19.

Leaky5 is my Ebay username, leaky and leaky1 to 4 were already taken when I joined Ebay.

Mine is my christian name first letter of my surname and the calibre of my favorite rifle that owned when I used to shoot, have used it on all the forums I have used/use. Simple as that.

A truly dreadful game on the Atari ST that I didn't even like and only played a couple of times. For some reason it was the first thing that came into my head when I was trying to think of a username and it's stuck ever since. I wish I had something different now.

After one of my favourite REM songs and because I am a bit of a night owl. The 40 was tagged on some years ago when just "Daysleeper" was already taken and it's stuck ever since.

Mine comes from a petname the missus has for me. Whenever she starts moaning about some household chore i.e. "I thought you were putting those shelves up today" I was supposed to do my usual reply is always "Aye, aye I'm goan tae(going to) do it"... and then completely forgetting about it again. So the Goan tae kinda stuck :)

Tommy.

Had the nick name since i was 10 (41 now), But spike was already taken so i stuck K6 on the end which is the year of the Suzuki GSXR1000 I own,

Family has called me Paulie for as long as i can remember. W is surname inital.

My name is Richard and I'm sane.

Not what some people have suggested in previous threads like this. I used it first years ago on an early forum associated with a certain west london football club :D Then their web site and forum software was reworked and some **** stole my nick. But I stole it back again about a year ago following another forum relaunch. I've used it elsewhere - but not everywhere. I wonder if anyone here knows 'blue widget'?

You know the man in the grassy knoll that hot day in Dallas? He was the13thman and being somewhat down the pecking order I made his packed lunch. Oh, and he wasn't the shooter, he was there for a whole other reason... Don't tell anyone though...

Any ex-matelot on here can work mine out:D

Mine just comes from part of my surname

Mine is just a shortened adaptation of my surname (Falber) that work colleagues started calling me. Don't ask me why they missed the "L", I haven't a clue.

One day someone said " Lets get the L out of here" so they did. :D

Well, my surname is Bell and I'm a boy last time I looked - hang on.........

..........yep, I'm a boy:thumbs:

Mine came about after realising I suffer the same "invisibility" on forums as I do at a crowded bar :bonk:

Mines a nickname some American friends, from a widows internet group, gave me when I stayed with them in New York. They said I talked like the queen ( I dont) so they called me Lady Sue.

I have spent my working life using them.
