Organised opposition announced to government's plans to weaken copyright

I'm not sure if this been mentioned here already, but 70 organisations have put forward opposition to the Government's plans to weaken copyright protection, and warned that the legislation could go to Judicial review if approved.

I've been trying to follow the progress of the "opposition" on a pro forum, but it has not been easy. The details are, to be honest, highly technical, so i am glad that all the relevant organisations have been able to come to an agreed position. At least one person, Paul Ellis, has put in a huge amount of his own time (unpaid) to make sure that photographers voices are heard.
