ordering a large canvas.

Basically I have a photo from my 550d that I want to get blown up onto a 75x50cm cqnvas. It was taken with a 55-250mm mkii lens. Will this canvas size be ok or will I loosea lot of detail and be all pixelated? The photo is a portrait of my two kids.

whats the image size? I presume its at least 5000x3000 pixels, Ive had huge canvases done using my 600d (5184x3456) and they look great.

If it looks sharp enough out of the camera and you haven't cropped it, it will be fine. Canvas prints lose a bit of sharpness anyway.

The photo will be fine (I have 2 large format printers)

With Canvas it's quite forgiving because you can only print to a certain DPI due to the canvas weave cells causing irregularities when printing. Basically if you were to max it out you wouldn't see any difference as the printer would just add too much ink. Yesterday I printed a 4 meter x 40 inch canvas for a friend's office using an 18mp image and it looks stunning!

I've just ordered a 20"x20" from DSColourlabs, quite pricey at £50 but having a picture you've taken yourself on canvas should be well worth it

I'll post my thoughts when it arrives

I had a 60"x20" canvas made which was taken on a 550D and the quality was fine.
