If your thinking of buying an Orange pay as you go this year (and want to keep your number) think twice!.
It seems Orange will sell you the phone, with the top up you HAVE to buy at the same time, but it then puts the top on your new number and deletes it transferring over your old number, bingo you loose the top up and orange say it's your fault!
They have done this to me TWICE in 12 months, repeted phone calls get you nowhere. I'm finished with the robbing so and so's. Wayne

Try this, I did and it worked......................Long story short

I asked for the "top up"
( which I think is a bloody cheek anyway! asking for £20 C/C / or £10 for cash!)
as a "voucher" that had to be keyed in not electronically swiped,

place old sim card, in new phone, you keep your number your old contacts and add the PAYG voucher top up to your old / existing number
System beaten

I hate Orange, with a passion, it seems the robbing twunts signed me up for 18 months, my own fault for not reading the small print but if I ever see the weasel in town I will deck him, wanted to get out of my contract to move to an i-Phone, ohhhhhh, my are they bitter about the i-phone - steer well clear of Orange !
