OptimusBri's self portrait 365

Ian - Well the image was meant to look a bit surreal and creepy so yes, I suppose that was the intent :)

This was really difficult to do...I haven't moved from the computer for hours and am now in desperate need of some food.
It's a combination of about 4 different photos. Excuse the awful photoshopping where the arm is meant to go in to the wall. I just couldn't get it how I wanted it, so I gave up! The rest of it went pretty much as planned though.

Trying to be extra creative with limited photoshop skills and limited time (due to Uni work) is no easy feat. It's quite tiring!

If anyone has any tips on how to made the part where the arm goes in to the wall any better I would much appreciate it for next time I try something like this :D

Fantastic creativity with this one!! :)

I keep commenting on Flickr and I think your recent ones a brilliant!

Keep up the good work!

yikes!.. very creepy!

good stuff as usual briony, all excellent for your surreal theme :)

excellent colour and lighting. great composition. just gets better and better...

Until I saw the rest of your images on flickr I thought you had shopped in the black lines :) Another interesting image (I hate to think how your mind comes up with this stuff). You chopped off your elbow but otherwise another worthy addition to the ever growing self portfolio.

Thanks Lisa :)
See that's what I don't want to happen to me. I have still used Photoshop in these last two shots, but only a few adjustments as I want to get to the point where I can produce excellent images in camera, and have no/minimal post processing - dependant on what type of photo and style it is obviously.

Another great image, and especially like the use (or lack of) the frame. :)

It really gives a great feel of ... I can't quite think of the word ... but aloneness/drowning , or something like that anyways!

Keep up the undenialby quality work. You're really proving yourself as a totally awesome photographer. :) And this 365 is gonna be one to print in a hardback book!!!

Thank you Mr Newton Faulkner for providing me with inspiration when I had given up for the day.
4 more in the comments on Flickr . Oh and I made this outfit (Violet from The Incredibles - shame on you if you haven't seen that film! :p) myself for Halloween. I have the shorts, tights and boots for it too - you just can't see them on this :)

man I 365 fail, developments and images are coming shortly

excellent film! love the picture, i knew you reminded me of someone...

 Brilliant! Great outfit and film too. You seem to be liking that wall alot at the moment... its a nice simple backdrop! :)

Being a model and a photographer at the same time is hard, yet you come up with amazing images.

Have you tried taking portraits of someone else?

Thanks, and yes it is rather useful :) although it is a horrible pale yellow colour! It's frustrating me that I am using it too much, so tomorrow I am definitely not going to. Going to write down some ideas tonight maybe

Thanks a lot Liam :)
I've taken a fair few portraits of other people, and I would like to do more but obviously with my 365 project being a self portrait one, it kind of defeats the object if I photograph others! With University work (currently doing my Final Major Project!) on top of this 365 project I feel completely snowed under, so any other photography that I want to do has been put on hold I guess.

Wow Wee Bri, just caught up! Amazing Amazing Amazing.

Love them all, the shaking hair one and the super hero particularly!

Your imagination seems to know no bounds, I don't know how you do it. You are definately showing you don't need to have the most expensive kit to produce brilliant shots!

nicely done. good lighting and contrast. excellent composition...

57 is great.. can image thats how you feel most days trying to fit everything in!

and 58.. wow, very surreal indeed.. excellent processing and what a great idea.. :)

58 is so cool...brilliant idea, well executed

I like 58, I reckon if you could of got your right arm to rest on the bed mattress as usual rather then disappearing in to the bed that would take it to the next level of ghost coming out of your bed!

Wow I've been missing these! They're all briliant, though particularly like 50, 51. 56 and 58. :)
