OptimusBri's self portrait 365

This is excellent Briony.

You must really like a challenge.

I would be happy to take shots like these as portraits never mind self portraits

both are cracking briony!.. will be a brilliant set of images at the end of the year :)

Liking the processing a lot on your image from yesterday. How did you light it?

Laughed at today's offering, don't know if I was supposed to :D Looks like you've given up and looked to the skies for inspiration. You've used the window well to frame you. Still like that hat :)

Thanks Michelle!

Thank you. Well I was actually under my desk, and the only light I had on was my little desk light to the left of the shot. Nothing amazing

I don't mind you laughing, I guess everyone takes photos in a different way! I'm glad you like the photo, and my hat :)

Excellent, great tones. Much better edit ;)

another excellent sp...

Thanks Lawrence and Ian :)

I really really like today, be nice to have your toes in frame though :bang:

the blue top jeans and floor all tone and contrast funkily

being backlit works too

now is not the time to be sleeping on the job

like 16 (I would feel like a right numpty if was taking that lol), maybe at a lower angle?

Oh I did feel like a numpty haha!
It was in the corridor outside the flat above mine. I was scared someone was going to come out of the flat and see me lying on the floor  luckily they didn't.

Edit: This was my original shot for today but I decided I hate it, so today's shot is a few posts down :)

The floor above mine in halls at Uni is my new favourite place. The windows are huge and the lighting is gorgeous. My room doesn't get much nice sunlight unfortunately

I like the light and the comp, but the pose is a bit off if you ask me, there is a crease by the shoulder where there shouldn't be.

The hair and the black and red all look funky too

love the blue one briony... and i'd swap your arms for my bingo wings anyday ;) prefer your new number 17, agree, the lighting is super - keep up the good work!

Urghhh I know, this photo makes my arms look really fat :gag: I almost didn't put it up, and was going to use another one. Maybe I should use another one actually...I don't know!

tbh I prefer 17mkI its an amazing shot, just needs your arms moved out/back a few degrees :D

Just found your 365 Briony.

Some great shots so far - I particularly like day 4, 11 and 12 :D Well done so far and keep it up! :)

Me too!

Lovely shots there!

Thank you all :D

lol you have got guts to be doing these in a public place! i could never do it, at least not while being on my own!

I get terrified that people will see me  I haven't actually ventured outside to take any self portraits since being back at University as I'm in the middle of the city. There's no quiet places for me to hide away and take photos of myself with nobody noticing! I'll have to venture out at some point soon though - it's a bit restricting staying inside!

just noticed your photostream, didn't know you were an urbexer :D

Well I'm not an urbexer as such - I've only been to one place! I went there twice though :p
There's meant to be tons of places to explore near where I live at the moment so I need to have a look at soon :D

i like both the day 17 pictures...i think i prefer the first one for the light, i wonder what it would be like with the arms cropped out...

18 is very nicely done...i like the little spots of colour through the window. the slightly fuzzy quality of your stuff really works well...

excellent briony, love the lights and agree the soft feel works very well

Today I went to Oxford for a University trip. It was really good! Me and my friend Jade managed to go to 5 museums and the Botanical Gardens in the space of about 5 hours.

I have a thing for clocks and pocket watches, especially old ones with roman numerals on, and this trip has made it slightly worse. We went to the Ashmolean Museum and there was a huge display of clocks and pocket watches. Oh my goodness, it was awesome :-D and now I have bid on a pocket watch on ebay. Here starts my obsession with collecting them...

So my excuse for taking this photo late, and it not being that interesting, is that I was in Oxford all day and then obsessed over clocks and watches when I got home so this ended up being a bit last minute! :p

Oh and also, I don't think I've been very smiley in many (if any at all) of these photos - so this is just to prove that I am actually rather happy

I have read through your whole thread Briony, and think it's a great challenge. Your latest SP is the most striking. Your eyes draw the reader in, they are very striking! Well done so far, and good luck for your challenge:)

superb focus in 19, spot on...
