Opteka Lenses...

Hi all,

Can anybody fill me in on these Opteka lenses, they looks like dodgey pieces of crap to me... Does anybody own one, has anybody used one. I would love to see what the deal with them is, although i'm not sure how much wildlife/sports photography you can do at f/8 ah well. Just for people who haven't got a clue what i'm on about just check Ebay for telephoto lenses and im sure you will find one, just like this ...

Any thoughts

Some of these mirror lenses can be okay, at that price you havent got too much to lose, one good thing, they do give great effects on reflections on water.

Avoid like the plague, I've read nothing but bad reports on them (soft, chromatic aberation etc.). Usually sold by U.S. based eBay sellers where you have no comeback if the image quality is poor.
