Hi

Anyone managed to hack their Optech dual harness straps to use the Peak Design link and loop system?

If you did how did you achieve this.

Thank you

Yes, I have all my straps adapted with these from PD

and these from optech

https://www.optechusa.com/products/uni-loop (but you should already have these with the optech strap)

the uniloops simply loop onto the anchor links.

The Uniloop end then connects to the Optech strap ends and the anchor link end connects with the PD Anchor camera end.

Thank you so much for replying. When get a chance please can you share a picture with your setup so that I can see how you have it setup.

Ah, having wondered why you might need a picture of the setup, I have had a look at the Optech site and realise that my two camera "strap" isn't, the same as the two camera "harness".

However, having had a look at the two camera "harness", the set up is even easier than I am using.

With the harness, you are expected to feed the straps directly through the camera strap lugs, But with the PD anchor links you thread the strap ends through the slot on the anchor links. This makes the harness compatible with the PD anchors.

The harness I have is this one, so think your suggestion will work.

So uniloop which at present is connected to the camera body will go into the anchor link.

Is that correct?

Thank you

Sorry, that wasn't the harness was looking at, it was a two camera harness, not a three camera one. So in fact my original post was giving the correct solution, and my scond post was incorrect. What you suggest is correct.;

You put the PD anchors on the camera and you connect the loops of the uni loop connectors that come with the harness, (that would normally be attached directly to the camera) into the PD anchor links.

It's really straightforward once you get the PD Anchor-link pack.

Thank you Sir, I did not think of that.

Will try and source some PD links.

I’ve done it; not home tonight, so it’ll be midweek before I can photograph it, but I did it as described with the PD links.

Got a couple made up with peak design ends , also got one with some triangular ends and plugs I got from e.bay or amazon

Thank you all for the help and suggestions.

Just to double check this is the correct way to set them up?

I'm not sure there is a "correct" way to set them up, but that is how mine are set up.

I just cut off the ends of a pair of OpTech extensions and took them to Timpson's to sew the ends of the PD links. It all looked quite professional when done

Hi,

Thank you, I have a slight difficulty strap to what I think you have. See image in post 5.

Thank you

Thank you again for the suggestion. Have got it all connected will have to try it out when I next need to shoot with both bodies.
