Capitalise all 'i's' to I is one thing that needs changing mate :)

Also, on your 'Services' page, the scrolling speed needs to be slowed down in the slideshow as you don't have time to read the text associated with each service.

Also... In your Southwold beach photo, the horizon isn't straight... little details ;)

Cheers Baz after spending two weeks creating the site it's easy to overlook things like that. I'll get them changed now

Wordpress sliding doors by any chance? As above really just a few tweaks needed. Keeping an eye on spell checker ;)

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback apart from the above is everyone liking the new design?

I am unsure of going down the route of having a stand-alone shop or keeping the purchasing to individual photos? I have some pricing boxes to add to get rid of the horrible add to cart buttons also

Hi Ben,

I really the like the top sliding photographs ... It gives you a little taster and makes you want to click on the image to have a better look

If you have created this by yourself ... Well done you!

Hi Shelley, I've had a little help on the way and obviously hosting with wordpress helps but its all my own content and ideas. I strongly recommend anyone having ago at a website using wordpress.

I think you are right about the sliding photos I would like to take them to other pages when I expand the website more.

Thanks

I know mate :) I'm forever changing little details on our works website and sometimes you can't see the obvious mistakes until another pair of eyes takes a look :D

Apart from the skew on the photo i think everything above is sorted. Anyone else have any suggestions for improvement?

For me you have made the biggest mistake possible for a business website... You have to go to ABOUT and second paragraph before anyone even knows what country on earth you are in.. you could be australian for all the info on the front page shows.. If you want business then you really need to show your location on your front page as soon as they arrive.. dont make them search to see if you are in there country and then there area... in fact..would they search? i went to contact first.. no clues there either...

Company name and area your in is a good idea... :)

there's still a lower case i on the home page in the paragraph about the wildlife photography

also the photo on the about page has been flipped mirror image - look at the camera, apparently you are using a nokiN

Updated all the above apart from the location, I'm thinking how's best to do this

The two domain names could get you penalised by the search engines, repetitive content and all that. Pick a primary and have the alternate domain redirect to it.

Looks pretty good Ben although the slides at the top are a bit manic for me.

One more thought the "Overview" at the bottom of the services page looks a bit sparce and sort of a scattergun of information if that makes sense, I think it needs a bit more substance as it doesn't come across wholly professional to me

Just my thoughts

Simon

Hi martyn, .com is a redirect.

Thanks baldry

Thanks Simon. I know what you mean about the services page just not sure where to go with it.. Any ideas?

Hi martyn, .com is a redirect.

It looks to me like it's pointing to the same server, but not actually redirecting.

The site loads on either domain, so they're coexisting as two separate sites, which can cause you problems.

If your .com is the master, when you type .co.uk it should change to .com in the address bar. That's what the redirect does.

Updated the coverage and location to the bottom of the home page and added a larger coverage map to the about section. Thanks for all your help on this guys, next prject pricing boxes

Why is there weather forecast on every page? That seems rather superfluous and looks quite odd.

weather removed, replaced by testimonials

Further to what Tony said, if this site is intended to bring you business, it's pretty but useless:
Read up on SEO, page titles, more keyword rich content.

You should seriously think whether you want to be advertising services you're not showing you can perform. Personally I'd get rid of the 'portraits' sections and any mention of weddings until you have a portfolio that shows you can shoot them as well as your other work, frankly the one portrait you show is the weakest shot on your site (I'd be gobsmacked if you didn't know this). I'd have a bit of a cull of some of the other images too, whilst some are of good quality, there's some weaker stuff there too.

The 'coverage' section switches from 3rd person to 1st person. It's tricky to hold third person, and if you're going for the local and friendly approach (if you're a sole trader - embrace it as a USP) then stick to 1st person.
