Opinions on this lighting strobe?

Steve, did you get British plugs with yours? Mine are (presumably) Polish. Also the instructions are all in Polish. Not too good when they are selling them on Ebay UK.

No, I got French plugs (as I'm in France I found this very helpful), and yes the instructions are all in Polish for me too, not a real problem as all the data on the site and on the flash heads are in English.

Since getting them I spent a weekend doing 19 family shoots and they worked a treat, I will have no hesitation for placing another order with them, customer service is great, I had a few concerns regarding delivery times and they really worked with me to meet my needs.

They do speak English so perhaps call and ask for English plug replacements, they seem very on top of customer service.

Have you used the lights yet ????

Haven't used my light yet, was planning a trip to Maplins to get new plugs or leads but I don't think I should be paying extra for these items. If they are supplying non-UK plugs then they could at least state this in the ad. I notice that the plugs are carefully concealed in the photos on Ebay. Delivery time was good, however. I just got the one light and a battery pack for walkabout shoots at weddings. The strap for the battery pack is also broken straight out of the box. So can't really comment on the quality of the goods yet but they've made a bit of a poor impression so far. The flash head itself looks decent quality for the price.

just cut the european plug off and replace with a 13amp plug ( the units are 16 amp mine is anyway )

Well I'll wait and see before buying new leads or cutting up the ones I have. They still haven't replied to my first e-mail so I've just contacted them again. I think it's damned bad form not stating the plugs situation on the auction. It means you have to incur extra expense or hack the leads up, which is dangerous if you're not sure what you're doing. And stuff broken straight out of the box? :nono:

Can't you just buy an adapter?
