Opinions on Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV

Scout is too low. Kodiaq is meh. Besides, don't want a new car. Sooner have something registered pre-April.
Well, I've gone back on this statement! We tried the Outlander PHEV, and whilst it was very nice we eventually decided against it because we are a bit wary of the pace of improvement to hybrid cars and whether the Outlander technology would quickly be obsolete, plus the dealer was unable to reach a deal with me. So we looked at a new Seat Ateca, which ticked the boxes on paper but was totally unavailable in the spec we wanted for 4 months. So today we went for a test in a new Skoda Kodiaq, and an hour later walked out of the dealers having placed an order. We should collect on Friday!

Did you plump for the 2.0 litre turbo 180bhp? ;)
Err no. The 1.4tsi turbo with DSG box. SE 2wd with a load of extras at a good price as that's how the factory had sent it out. Normally 4 months waiting list but actually in stock.

Good stuff, Stephen.

Would be interested how you get on with it over the coming months, so please would you keep us up to date? (y)

Got it today. All I can say, is WOW! It's only the SE so it's missing some of the bells, but it's comfortable, spacious, quiet and well-made. Wifey seems to like driving it, which is a first! Up to Banff next week, so a good test.

Done 1000 miles now (wifey driving), with 800 done in 2 days. No faults, extremely quiet and comfortable, and returning over 43 mpg at motorway speeds, on a tight engine. I've driven it around private car parks and it's easy to control. Glad we made this decision.
