Operation Overlord at Great Central Railway

Like Chrisb1357 I was at this event today and thorougly enjoyed myself staying over 6 hours. If I'd known how good it was going to be I would have made sure I booked my rail tickets to allow me longer there.

Anyway I was at Rothley snapping away when this gentleman told me he had run out of film and had I got any shots of the battle betwen the Allied forces and the Germans. I told him I had and plus load of others of all the other things going on at the railway.

Well it turns out he was editor of a local paper and he asked me to send in up to 10 shots and they would give me the proper accreditation should they use my pics. I'm not worried about any money just happy with a copy of the paper should they print one of mine.

So folks when sending any pics should you not do any editing of them other any cropping?

Well Done for being able to get your photographs in the paper

But i am not sure if you need to edit them or crop them at all before sending them, never sent in anything to the newspaper

Any further thoughts on submitting pictures to a newspaper? I need to make sure the editor has them for when he arrives at work tomorrow.

I only resize for web , just so its easer to email them , or is that me being LAYZ yep it is me , but i have never been paid ,it helps them sell more papers maybe and most papers will retouch/resize for the paper anyways
