Opening multiple images as layers. Can It be done?

I would like to open a number - quite a lot - of images in CS6. I would like them all to be on the one image and to have them open up as individual layers.
If I select all images and tell CS6 to open they are all opened as separate images. Is there a way to combine all these without the time consuming process of moving each one individually? Open the first image then automatically create a layer for each of the following images?

Does Photoshop not have a 'open as layers' option? As opposed to the plain, vanilla 'open'?

I suspect you would have to open one image first as the base image and then the rest as layers'.

You have to learn how to speak Adobe then it all becomes obvious. Or as clear as mud.

As above, and if you find that they are stacked in file number order and you want them the other way then Layer>Arrange>Reverse...

Yes they do come in the wrong order. Thanks for the tip.

I often use --> File--> Automate --> Photomerge--> [leave auto on and deselect 'blend images together] and then select images.

You can then use -->image -->auto align images --> auto blend images, for example - if youve some focus stacked images. Hope this helps!
