I guess that answers my "what should I get for Christmas?" question :p :D

I'd love a 360 myself but I rarely play on my original x-Box as it is.

Do you have it hooked up to an HD-Ready TV? I believe it REALLY makes a difference.
 
Umm I bought a HD TV about a month ago :love:

The PS2 will very shortly be removed and be replaced by the 360 :woot:

We're in the process of having work done to the house (new doors, windows and flooring etc and when all thats done (hopefully by the end of next week) I will be getting a much nicer TV stand (and hiding all that wiring!)
 
did you get a quiet 360 or one of those that sounds like a dyson? And check the warrenty, a large portion of 360's dont make it to the end of that period before they fry themselves, if the PS3 ever gets large enough numbers made i hope it doesnt suffer the same fate...

oh and dont forget to get the HD DVD add on for it

I have just come home tonight with an X-Box 360 premium complete with Gears Of War from Argos (friends mum works there and got 10% staff discount off) £252 complete...:geek:

I have an X-Box HD DVD add-on arriving early next week to watch HD DVDs too through it.

Already got Superman Returns sat here waiting to be watched in glorious HD..:clap:
 
Oooh I'm beginning to feel left behind now, with my bog standard widescreen TV and regular xbox..lol
 
xBox 360's are quality. I played on a Wii today and it's no contendor. The graphics on the game I played (tennis) had dreadful graphics.

You are soooo biased Matty ;)

I know people that have had 360's since first release and no issues whatsoever ! ;) PS3 may get released, sometime ! lol and apparently its not as good anyway (from someone i know that develops for both) lol

We saw it today at Medowhall in Sheffield. It was funny because my husband said the same thing you did but I said I didn't care because it got your bum off the couch! I thought it looked great for what it was (it wasn't supposed to look realistic like the 360 games). I still want a Xbox 360 though as well as a Nintendo DS (in pink of course!). But really I just want them to come out with Call of Duty 3 for my Mac.
 
I've had a 360 since April and I've got a wii coming to me on launch day. I believe the PS3 will be shunned by gamers and people will choose the wii60 combination.

[embarrassed] I paid way over the odds from a seller on eBay..:'( [/embarrassed] it should be here Monday or Tuesday.:)


I also still have one on pre order from HMV (£129) but I am more likely to see santa on Christmas day than HMV show up with one..:lol:

I still use a portable 14" CRT TV from LG-Philips. But am looking at the £500-ish LCD widescreens in Currys et al for an after-Xmas upgrade...
No plans for XBox/Nintendo doobrie-whatsit though. 5 minutes with my erswhile 12-year old step son revealed to me that I'm just not cut out for multi-player gaming. His character was cartwheeling round mine and firing automatic weapons at me while I was still trying to walk. Gave up and stomped off to polish the car instead....
 
its annoying when your 7 year old can make the character performa double back flip while cutting you in half with a lightsaber...looked like he was just randomly hitting the X button to me..

the ps3 will the be the entry level Bluray player of choice next year, as the playback is apparently very good...

Ah, yes, but I can still drive around Nurburgring in my Nissan 350Z in a tenth of the time it takes my 7 yr old ;) :thumbs:

The PS3 is a Sony, so given resent history with their stuff it will either burst into flames or the display will not work. :lol:
 
PS3 for me regardless......Can't wait for Motor Overlord or whatever it's called, saw the demo video, it hooked me.

I like the looks of Gears of War from the telly but I hate those first person shooters using controllers, prefer keyboard for that type of game!

i do like the 360, but until i get a HD tv i wont bother getting one, they will drop the price before the ps3 comes out too, so should get a good deal on that, and then sony will have to do something with the ps3 so should get a good deal on that too!
