Just another proof that canon lenses are too fragile.

Has to be about the most moric statement I've ever read on here....do you seriously think any manufactures lens are built to take those kind of hits....

Definitely - no one should risk good quality kit in such a high risk environment. ;)
 
And of course no one ever broke a nikon lens by dropping it ;)

That's why the Armed Forces, most Police Forces and even NASA use Nikon ;)

I am told they gave Canon a go with the original Hubble telescope - but Nikon had to step in as all was not good when they got the first batch of pictures...
