I was aiming my camera towards a street seller a while ago, then all of a sudden he moved quick and hid his face.
My question is, Do i keep it/what are others thoughts? (If any)
film (2 of 1)-11 by andybray77, on Flickr

I suppose it has appeal to me as it makes me smile at his overreaction.

its not sharp.. the colours are wishy washy... and its badly composed.... doesnt matter what the subject did..its a poor pic and needs binning IMHO

Looks more like camera shake to my ageing eyes Bro

If you like it and makes you smile then keep it.

Could be an illegal immigrant ;)..bin it or maybe the lomo guys would like it.

I think there would have been some merit in it if the background had been in focus. This wasn't just a case of him moving - you did too! BIN!

Yep you have got to bin it, there are no positives at all.

Maybe its art!

He might be off a religion that disapproves of photo images ;)

... or he may be one of those counterfeit goods traders and thought you were a trading standards undercover man.

AFAICS both he and his goods look proper dodgy...

Best piece of advice I ever received was to bin an image that wasn't up to scratch. I was quite proud of it at the time but the subject was in shadow, and a more experienced photographer explained that other opportunities would crop up and it was best to ditch it and move on. It's a good skill knowing what to get rid of despite any personal attachment.

Keep if it makes you smile, but I wouldn't include it in any portfolios.

You can see stalls exactly the same as his in every big town in Europe at the weekends. As to the origin of the goods - that's an essay unto itself. Yep he's not caucasian, yep he doesn't want his picture taken. Don't read too much into either of those things. Namaste

He probably just doesn't like having his picture taken by strangers..

Now I'm not sure but am I missing something here? What's this got to do with keeping a photo or binning it?

It was my reply to comments that someone working on a street stall and who didn't want to be photographed must be 1) an illegal immigrant, 2) dodgy. Can now add 3) fradulently claiming benefits. All suppositions. That's it.

Maybe he's just bought a Hello Kitty bath towel and didn't want to be seen with it.

What I cannot understand is how all the towels moved at the same time, together with the stock and the frame work of the stand, its covering, well just about everything.

BIN IT.IT IS CARP. and nothing to do with the seller moving.
