If I was to buy one... DNP DS40 or 80

Think it has one of the fastest print times and cheapest print costs. Not a cheap purchase in the first place though.
I think Graham Taylor is fond of these.

+1. Brilliant prints. Both matte and gloss from the same print media? MAGIC.

Give Mark Aimes at photomart a call, he'll sort you right out :)

Cheers for that I might give him a bell and see what deals he can do....;)

I maybe looking into event photography in a big way in the future;)

Dave,

dye-sub or better digital dye thermal transfer printing is a dry to dry process and the last stage is a clear laminate so all prints are sealed and dry as they leave the machine.

Speed of printing breaks down in to 2 factors, the time to spool the print and the actual printing time which is why event photographers optimise their images both to speed up wireless transfer time and printing time.

Like Graham I have demonstrated the DNP machines on many occasions and I have also played with all the major makers printers for magazine articles and for the forum I run. I have the DNP DS80 (larger 8"x12" prints) and just recently added a second DNP DS40. They are an absolute doddle to use, media is cheap, print quality is excellent.

Yes there are other makes that will offer as equally as good a print and at similar speeds however one of the major benefits is the amount of event photographers (very large user base) that own them and I am never far away from a photographer that can help me with media if the night is too good, although normally I can get next day delivery of what I require.
