Only one - which one would you take?

Two cameras and two lenses seems to be a standard now! And if you had to pick just one of those?

I don't get along with Sony RX series. I know people really like them and they seem popular but using them is just so annoying. I am not too picky in this area, I already put up with Sony rather happily and RX still manages to annoy me.
Panasonic ones are much nicer to use. Very well thought out too.
 
XT2 and 16-55mm f2.8.... There you made me choose...

The answer is simple: Take the one that is more suited to the subject you're going to shoot.

For example: I have a Minolta X-700 with a MD-1 motordrive and I have a Minolta SR-1.
If I was going to shoot landscape, I wouldn't mind taking either the X-700 or the SR-1, either will do fine, maybe I'll take the SR-1 just to humour you. But if I wanted to do a sports photography, I would take the X-700 because of the built-in meter and because I would need the motordrive.

Don't take the camera you like the best, take whichever camera is supposed to do the job better. Although nowadays most cameras are very similar in performance so it hardly make a different, but there is always that one little thing. For example, one camera could manage up to ISO 3200 but the other camera could go up to ISO 6400.
 
And I guess that is what some people do everyday if they have more than one. This was just a thing to see which one you would have if you could only have one camera and one lens.

Interesting that you went for the older model - can you explain why you went for the older one? Just humour me! Assuming it is the older one of course.

Sony a7 and 24-105 f4. A compromise but if only one lens and camera, a compromise has to made.

TBH it's hypothetical as fortunately I don't have to have the scenario questioned by the OP. I've not used the RX10's but have the RX100-III and I too wasn't that impressed with the IQ.
 
@Chipper. I went for the x-t2 because it is an all round class camera, it’s what i’ve learnt on and started my Fuji journey on. I purchased a mint x-t1 shortly afterwards and have now completed the set with the x-t3. All my camera’s are set up the same so at any given time I know which ever camera I pull from my bag I am ready to shoot. I know the x-t3 will offer me newer enhancements and I’m looking forward to exploring these, the 3 camera’s just work so well together with the lens collection I have.

Yes, Gandalf, you look like you have it covered. I wonder if you prefer the zooms or have a prime as your walkabout lens . A photo friend of mine has disposed of much of his Canon kit - not all - and I think he now uses the Fuji medium format 50MP body which came out recently. I saw it the other day and, whilst it is obviously small for a MF body, it seemed huge to me! I have a Fuji X100T which I really like; I did try the Fujis in my hands at the Photo Show a couple of years ago when I was looking for a mirrorless to go with my Canons; they were ok for me but the lenses were too heavy. I loved the Olympus though and am very happy with my kit at the moment, although, as the Photo Show approaches, I can feel a bit of GAS bubbling up. Just hope I can get there! After a couple of days pondering this, I think my 5d4 body would be the body I would choose in this 'pick one' scenario.
 
All 3 of my camera’s are Gripped and as such will handle to 50-140mm and the 100-400mm better, although I have a monopod I travel with also. The Fuji x100T is a great camera and I had one for a while, produces excellent images. I have heard the x100F is a capable newer alternative.
