Online photo project

Hi,

My current project is a series on bus journeys, i have started a thread on here and upload from flickr. What i am after is a blog or something similar, i am unsure which would be the best format to use, Tumblr, instagram or a blog like blogger etc or just plain Facebook type page.. Would i need a domain name to start with and somewhere to host my site. I am not after massive following just something better that flickr to view or eventually show the bus company if i can produce the sort of content i am happy with.

So which is the easiest, most effective platform to use and future proof,

Your easiest way would be Wordpress.com

Very simple to set up and you don't even need a domain. It's also free. When you eventually want to transfer the site to your own domain it's a straightforward process, so you're also future proof. The blog in my signature began its life on Wordpress.com.
