Online Charity Shops

It's a lot of junk, and mostly overpriced - in some cases, horrendously overpriced.

Not to do your post a disservice of course, because maybe someone will see something they like and people may not know about the existence of the site.

A lot of the charities sell through Ebay, I'm not sure why Oxfam didn't go that way as well. Probably because on Ebay they would have to price more reasonably, have to agree with Freecom2.. anything decent is about 2.5x the going rate.

Extremely few bargains here.

I couldn't say if the prices were good or high but I knew some people on here would know.

I guess a bargin might creap up every now and again.

Indeed - as I mentioned, no disservice for pointing it out and letting the world know. And it is a purchase for a charity rather than a private individual.

However, they also try as hard as possible in the descriptions to make as little guarantee as they can, absolutely minimal coverage. For the prices they are asking, I'd want to be seeing test shots and a warranty frankly!

They are selling a Cosmic 35 (my first 35mm camera) for £55, 2 recently sold on ebay for £0.99 and £3!!

it makes me wonder where they get their prices from ????

I find oxfam over priced generally - to the point a lot of stuff is cheaper bought new.

I reckon some of the benchmark is eBay listings - but those listings which are priced too high, rather than the more realistic completed listings.

I was talking to a lady who works in one a about how over priced their books are and she told me prices are set by head office for books at least.
