I have been doing some research and I have just signed up with Amazon Glacier for my online backup needs.

I have 2 copies (both on RAID 1) onsite and I sometimes remember to make an offsite copy on to another RAID array. Sadly I often forget as it is a copy to external HDD and transfer off again.

Amazon Glacier costs a whopping .69p per gigabyte a month. This means I am paying £5.20 for 750Gb a month.

The reason for the low cost is it is designed for infrequent data retrieval. Dropbox etc. is designed for continual data access on multiple machines, glacier is designed for once a year or once a decade data retrieval. There is an additional cost of 12p per gigabyte to get data back out of glacier, but this is still a drop in the pond compared to the cost of dropbox or other online solutions.

You do need a client to upload your data and there are a few out there...

I am trialling the Cloudberry backup software (does realtime backup) to backup my laptop and server continuously. This costs £15 per computer (licensed per computer).

Once you sign up and create the account, create a vault and then click at the top right and click credentials, you will see the required codes for Cloudberry.
