Onestop digital or Digital Rev - Advice please

Hi

I have ordered 3 lens in the past through OSD and have never had an issue with the lens or the delivery. These were canon lens and i guess they came with OSD warranty.

I want to order a Tamron 17-50mm, but am more concerned now since they have well documented Quality Control issues and therefore i would assume more likely to need recalibration.

Between OSD and DR there is little price difference and both come with local 1 year warranty from what i could see on their websites.

If i do purchase and find that the lens front or back focuses and requires recalibration, a) would both companies carry this out under waranty and b) would i have to post it off to HK in both cases?

If anyone has any experience of such issues and advice i would be grateful.

DR have recently had 'issues' with fake serial numbers on Canon 5d3s.

I went ahead and ordered of Onestop before i had seen your post just because they have a 7 yr extended MACK warranty for an extra £10. Think it kicks in after 90 days after which point i assume the repair is carried out within the UK.

just have to wait now and hope for a good copy

I've used Panamoz and DR and generally I've found Panamoz to be cheaper (especially when you pay via bank transfer for the additional 5% discount) so both are good in my eyes

You're probably not wrong, but it wasn't a one-off and so I'll let others discover whether or not they have developed a habit! It's noticeable that they have said nothing publicly either here or on POTN to explain or reassure.

Yeah I didn't follow the original thread I heard about so I'm not sure if that guy ever got an explanation. It would definitely seem to be in their interest to explain it if they can...
