I was going to buy the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 VC - Canon fit (when it's released) from Onestop digital but reading their warranty terms, they only give a six month warranty?
I've only bought cheaper items like filters from them before but I'm not keen on the idea with their warranty terms for lenses.
Has anyone esle bought a lens from them before and it's developed a fault after six months?

Oh crap, wrong forum.
Can a mode please move this to Shopping, Suppliers and Bargains.
Thanks.

their faq does mention that some items will come with manufacturer's international guarantee - iirc in Tamron's case that's 6 years - over & above that.
worth an email to check though.

I've already checked with them, Tamron do no offer an international warranty.
I think the 6 year warranty is only applicable to lenses bought in the USA and the warranty is only honoured there.

That's how I understand it too........

The only mention I've seen with regard to a 6 year warranty is on Tamrons USA website.
Perhaps it has something to do with the warranty law in the USA as most companies tend to offer the minimum they can get away with.
