One zoom, one prime... What's your pick?

This week mine are the 24-70mm and 35mm 1.4. :) Having a hard time choosing between the 24-70mm and the 24-105mm.

Now that I'm selling my digital gear and going back to basics with film and an OM-10, I'm simply using what I was given in the bag. A 28mm f/2.8 prime for general shots, and a 75-150 f/4 for portrait shots. Both works fine and the 75-150 is a very useful range in a compact and acceptably fast lens.

It would be the Nikon Nikkor AF-S 24-120 f/4 and the AF-S 200 f/2

Prime: Zeiss Distagon T* 21mm.
Zoooom: Canon/Nikon 70-200mm f2.8 ISII, VRII.

I'd go for a 70-200mm and either a 50mm or 85 (more leaning towards 85 though) :)

I really like my Nikon 16-85mm VR, so I'd stick with that for the zoom. :)

For a prime, it's between the Nikon 50mm f1.8 G or the Nikon 105mm f/2.8 G VR. I think the 105mm is the more versatile, so I'd have that. ;)

Pity I haven't the £600 to make it a reality. :(

Prime: 50mm f1.4 new FD; as close to a legendary lens as you can get.
Zoom: 35-105mm f3.5 new FD; should have been an L-series lens and perfect as a walkabout.

From what I have at the moment (for my manual Spotmatic F setup - I have not got any primes yet for my Minolta AF's)

Pentax SMC Takumar 28mm F3.5

Vivitar Series 1 70 - 210mm f3.5 (Kiron Version)

What I would love to have ideally:

Zeiss 50mm f0.7 (used for photographing the dark side of the moon by Nasa, shame only 10 were made) OR Nikon 6mm f2.8 fisheye (for its 220 degree angle of view!)

Can't think of a zoom I would really like at the moment...

Canon 70 - 200 MkII
Canon 500 f4

I like far away things.

Hmm good title for a song that.

Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS mkII
Canon 400mm f2.8L IS

I have taken around a thousand pictures in the last 24 hrs with the above.. three full football matches :)

35mm f2 and 70-200 f2.8VR1 on my D300

Nikkor 17-55 f2.8 + Nikkor 85mm f1.4g

Got to change my pair now I've gone back to the light - 24-105mm f4L + 135 f2L. Exactly what's in my bag. Plenty for me.
