Has anyone heard/used them?

A lady reversed into me the other day and caused minor damage, (she admits liability) but the bodyshop wants £900 to fix so she's opted for insurance.
She is insured with the above who have been in contact and say they will organise everything. I have nothing to pay and they will organise a replacement vehicle.
Additionally, they make the point that I do not have to enter into a credit agreement for the replacement vehicle. Sounds too good to be true!

I've contacted my insurer (Admiral, a FTSE 100 company) and lo and behold if I went through them they push me towards an accident management company.
Any replacement vehicle would be subject to a credit agreement.
There are risks with this. If the other party's insurance do not cough up then I will be liable.

Alternatively I can claim against my insurance and hopefully they will recover from the other party.

The whole thing is minefield and I get the feeling it's going to cost me whichever option I choose.

Any thoughts?

Never heard of them and initially couldn't even find them.......until I saw 1Stop Insurance who it seems are part of a big(brokerage?) group with good Trust pilot reviews.

And in regard to
"She is insured with the above who have been in contact and say they will organise everything. I have nothing to pay and they will organise a replacement vehicle.

I would want all that in writing for my peace of mind.

Well they have confirmed this in an email. Apparently I have to sign nothing but of course all converstions are recorded.

I had a similar claim issue some years ago when I was insured with Admiral. They put me onto to a claims company, who spent a couple of months doing nothing but claiming that the other party wasn't answering their emails etc. So I went back to Admiral to complain about this, whereupon Admiral themselves dealt with everything very quickly with no cost or inconvenience to me and has it covered by the other party, no impact on my status or premium. So ultimately Admiral were good but it wasn't a wonderful experience thanks to these useless claims companies.
It sounds like 1Stop might be worth taking up on the offer.

I had someone wipe out my old snail a fair few years ago and as it was a weekend my insurance couldn't sort me a car until munday so i just said can i hire one and claim back against the other party and they said yes so i did that, i hired for two weeks and then sent the bill to my insurer and they paid it.

Someone reversed from a parking space into my moving BMW in 2019 and caused damage to the back wing and bumper on one side. The driver admitted responsibility straightaway and I had dash cam footage anyway. (Always have one of these!)
I immediately got in touch with my insurance company and said that they would sort everything out, which they did to my satisfaction at one of their approved (non BMW) garages. Their designated claims firms would be in touch to arrange everything, (which they did, and I was happy with the result).
However the following day the insurance company of the other guy got in touch and said they would pay for everything, that I didn’t need to go through my insurance company, so it wouldn’t be noted on my file there, and I could take my car to any garage, including the expensive BMW main dealers, and get a top job done.
I said that I had already committed, but they said if I changed my mind, the offer was open. I still decided to go with my insurance company.
Anyway, when I collected my car, I asked how much it had cost for a dent to the back wing, a new bumper section and a respray of the back panel. It was £9000 including the cost of a hire car for the time they had it!!!
This is the problem. Other insurance companies sub contract to claims firms who inflate the prices, and make the repair as expensive as possible, which we will all suffer from eventually with higher premiums.
Next time I would be tempted to go with the other person’s insurance company.

Thanks for all your responses.
I've been with Admiral for years and paid a lot of premiums during that time, so I've decided to go with Admiral direct. They did try and push me onto their accident management firm but I don't see why I should do this. They have the other party's admission of full liability so my excess and no claims are protected.
I can get it repaired at the local bodyshop and they will foot the bill subject to approving the quote.
They will not provide a hire car if I go direct but we have 2 cars and the local shop is within walking distance. They estimate it will take them one day to repair.

As you say, the system seems to inflate prices so everyone takes a cut.

I suspect they are also on kickbacks for making claimants take out a credit hire agreement for the loan vehicle.

The other thing I got a couple of days after the guy backed into me was a call asking me if I had been injured. This was from a claims service for personal injury I later found out. How they had got my details I don’t know, but most likely the claims company.
“Was I hurt in the crash” No
Are you sure? Yes
You might have developed a bit of back ache over the last 24 hours? No
Are you sure? You could get a good payout for any type of injury? I am perfectly fine, thank you, the ‘crash’ was very low speed.
Etc
Another factor in riding motor premiums!
