It's worth the saving if you have no problems.

If you do like I did then it will instantly wipe out your saving in postage alone.

I'd go with Jessies myself, at least if you have problems you can take it back in person.
 
Be aware that if you get clobbered for customs, there is also a 'handling charge' too, which is often loads more than the amount you owe in duty.

Personally, I'd approach a UK-based retailer and/or consider buying used?

Except that One Stop guarantee to refund any charges incurred ;)

I've ordered about £3k's worth of stuff from them this year and not had to pay any import tax :thumbs:
 
I am looking to purchase a nikon 50mm 1.8 prime from one stop digital has anyone used them? and also as the items are shipped from hong kong, how long would you think it would take to recieve the item, the lens is £87.40, jessops is £109 is it worth the saving ?

I'd go with Amazon UK for £99 then if it has any issues they will take it back no problems. I've never not been able to return something to Amazon.
