Hi

I'm thinking of buying Kenko Extension tubes for Nikon D700 and came across a particularly low price at One-stop Digital (compared to other sites that is) of around £86. They are called Kenko DG Teleplus Extension Tube Set.

Firstly are these tubes any good and suitable for D700 and secondly are One-Stop Digital reliable, I haven't used them before and don't recall seeing anything bad about them but would just like to double check!

Thanks of any advice!

I purchased my Tamron 17-50mm lens and also a filter from them. They were very good and answered my question before I ordered the items. I can personally recommend them.

Regards

AJ

Don't know about the tubes but i can recommend one-stop i've had lenses and other bits from them with no problem at all.

I have just ordered some of the very same extension tubes from them, so I hope that they are OK!

I bought a lens from them a few weeks ago and it arrived within a week. On the customs declaration it was marked as camera spares, value £18 :naughty:

Those are the same extension tubes I have (Teleplus/Kenko) They are as good as any extension tubes and I was happy with them.

I was ready for putting an order through with Onestop tomorrow (nearly £1300) for a 70-200 VR after reading the reviews on here as people have nothing but praise for them, but I contacted kerso before I committed and for a little more than the Onestop price I decided to go with him (keep it in the family and all that)

One Stop are excellent to deal with, if you do a search you'll find only praise!

As for the tubes, they are the genuine ones, and I got mine from them about a year ago. Excellent tubes. These tubes are not as good as the Nikon, not as solid, but they do have an advantage in that you can meter with them! The Nikon tubes are more robust, but don't have the necessary contacts to allow you to meter, and hence will only be able to use M settings.

Someone has had a go at using the contacts from a Kenko tube on a Nikon tube here. Don't really think its worth the bother though!

Now that's what I'd call "extreme enthusiasm"; but I admire the courage there!

Thanks everyone - I'll definitely get them then but I've pm'd Kerso to start with; as you said Viper biker "keep it in the family"
