Well, I have just received a cash offer for the full asking house price on my house :woot: Things are starting to look up :) Canada is getting nearer and nearer and I'm getting more scared. Just hope the visas arrive on time then hopefully by October I'll be off!

For those of you who are wondering what the hell I'm going on about, I'm emigrating to Canada - it's been hard work and a long time coming, but still scary!!
 
Where are you going in Canada? I`ve got a pal who moved about 25 miles outside Vancouver. Mind you, his wife`s Canadian and his son went to school there.

They love it.
 
Well done on getting asking price, in todays market just getting a sale is hard enough.

That's gotta be a great weight off your mind. I hope the move over here goes well and as smooth for you as it did for my wife & I. Today is our 4th anniversary of moving here and we it still feels as if we're on holiday :clap: :clap:

Go for it! It's a beautiful country. The only downside is the long immigration process (and I'm doing the fast-track!!)

It feels like there is less and less each day to keep me here :(

I've already looked at the process min... Things don't look that bad (on paper) for getting in quickly.

Depends where you want to end up in Canada. If your occupation is on their 'wanted' list and provided that your qualifications are transferable, you could get a job offer and be there within months via the PNP route. The thing that slowed me down was the fact that I had to sit exams (to convert my UK qualifications) which are only held once per year.
Have just written my resignation letter for work.... feeling all excited now :banana:
 
there is a skill shortage in my vocation, so that helps with matters. Also my trade qualifications and post graduate qualifications are recognized by canada :)

At the moment I have a few personal issues I need to put to bed here ....... But I'm going to renew my efforts I think about getting off this rock!

Any agency... Gov....immigration links or advice you could offer would be great.

well I'm a bit of a whizz with products from the oval (when I need to be)....... So I'll help him with that ;)
 
Congrats on the offer Min ... hope all goes well for you there.
Really excited for you, October is just around the corner.
Nerves are understandable with such a huge step, but a TP meet at the new place should help you settle in ;)
