One silly member to another

Even if you did have members on ignore, they could still see all posts when not logged in.

I thought they could see them regardless. You just can't see theirs. Never tried it, so a bit :thinking:
 
Although I don't visit that many, this site is probably the best moderated of all the photographic sites I visit. Over time I have noticed that any members who have clearly joined just to cause trouble don't last very long, so I have never seen the need to use the ignore button.

The mods are so good at ejecting undesirables that sometimes I wonder if they have, or did have, full/part employment as door persons at a nightclub. :D

I'm not - but I was. I have a feeling that one of the founders used to be as well.

We are far more subtle than that, its very rare that we take anyone out back and give them a good kicking :D

It you block someone and they post, you see that they have posted, but can't see what.
It used to be that you could see the post if it was quoted, but IIRC Marcel "fixed" that.

I would suggest trying it, but I'm not sure if you can "Un-ignore" someone.

Yep you can switch them on and off I believe.. Not that I tried, just going on previous experience of being on someone's ignore

I was half thinking of it, but threads would not flow very well. As you would not always know what some members were talking about, as they may be referring to a post made by a member on your blocked list.

Actually you don't even really see that they have posted all you normally notice if you do is as highlighted above, and yes if you wish you can remove someone from ignore if you want to
