Finally got hold of mine last night and have to say its a very well made and well programed piece of kit. The os Cyanogen 11S is a well done port of kitkat (I think) android. There are lots of little improments and lots of things to tweak in the OS.
Out the box the camera app is very good with loats of option and stuff to play with. I also downloaded a camera app thats been ported from colour OS, this along with all the plugins really makes this a cracking phone camera. (50mp,gif,pano,slow shutter, double exposure,RAW)

So far:

Pros
  1. value for money, £270 ish for a 64gb phone
  2. The camera, really good out the box, even better with the colourOS ported camera
  3. Loads of tweaking can be done in the OS
  4. Speed it runs the apps
Cons
  1. no SD card slot
  2. Having to explane what phone it is as no-one has heard of them
  3. Might be issues with some 4G providers (Works ok on 3 tho)
I'll update this after a few more days and some pictures from it too. I need a case before I take it outside!

Chap at work has one, likes it a lot. It's a lot of phone for your money!

Only real downside is that the CyanogenMod variant of Android isn't quite as stable or smooth as the "regular" kind, but on the other hand, as you note, it does have lots and lots of little improvements.

At the moment I have no complaints about the stock os. All seems to be fine.

I took my phone to a gig last night and too a load of pictures. For a camera phone it took some not to shabby pictures :)

It might seem that way, but because it's using an older (cheaper) radio chip you are going to start to experience areas of poor coverage where other Three customers won't.

All 4 UK networks have an allocation of 800MHz spectrum, the one+one doesnt have support for this frequency so is only capable of working on 1800MHz for 4G. Because 1800MHz was the first frequency used you have coverage now but as the networks bring more 800MHz on line you will begin to have a problem with 4G.

If I was looking to buy a bargain price Chinese handset I would rather look at one of the newer Xiaomi 4G handsets or the Honor 6 Plus.

I got one for my other half. Its a lovely phone, the draw back is the CM android. I haven't got around to root it yet. But will look on XDA forum for an alternative ROM. I have never liked CM ROMs personally. I like stock ROM that is stripped off bloat. So I hope someone has done a ASOP version for OPO

PS the 4G coverage isn't an issue if you are with 3 or EE

BTW what camera app did you download?

CyanogenMod is an AOSP ROM though and some of the other AOSP ROMs are based around the Cyanogen framework.

Unless it is different on the one plus one phones then CyanogenMod is free of bloat. Certainly on my LG G2 running CM12 it is.

I meant another asop rom as there is no effective stock ROM on opo
