I was fortunate enough to go to this fantastic event, and took my FZ1000. I got a few pics that I'm happy with (we were further back than the big tv screen in the middle) considering how far we are away. Playing rebuke advocate, looking at these images based on max zoom on fz1000, raw shooting plus a bit of cropping after - would better results have occurred using a smaller sensor compact but with a greater zoom - 800mm for example? Ignore light, as it was good light so was shooting only about 500 -800 ISO to get a fast shutter. Opinions appreciated!
