First of all .....yet more feckin rain.......
Missed breakfast fur to sleeping in.....

Flat battery..........

And then for the cream on top of the pie...... I have just managed to smash the passenger side window on my '84 land rover defender 110...... :(

Any one know where I can get parts.....

Must be something in the air. My car's broken down twice in as many days and is off back to the garage again, the 12" sub in the boot has gone tits up, my computer is a pile of crap and I'll have to fork out for a new one.

Plenty of Landy breakers around - have a look in any of the magazines dedicated to the breed. Odd as it may sound, some parts aren't actually too horrendous from main dealers...

Hope everything improves soon.............................

............................as you get the Landy window fixed. :D

Yep.. fight ya for it.. but then i would loose that as well so means i would win as well :p

got up this morning and the handle fell off my cup as i picked it up scalding my nether regions in coffee

after i cooled my bits down as i was putting my new shirt on and the top button fell off

i tell you all i was pretty scared to go for a wee

Total star....thanks

Rimmers are a mine of information for all things Rover/Land Rover - but I'd phone them first to make sure you get the right part. Tell them the Defender's registration or chassis and they'll give you the part number for the window glass.

Def could be a lot worse..... I count my blessings that it actually is this trivial ..... just me going on a little rant :D

Dont you find it annoying though, when they keep saying "Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast" when they go out to the storeroom? :geek:

Only if they're very short & rosy-coloured. :exit:

Could be worse, this could have happened to your Landy. Forgive the picture, was is shock at the time and taken with a brick of an old Nokia.

I take fully responsibility and shouldn't have been stupid, but luckily my boss is as immature as I am and he laughed about it. I'm fixing it up myself at the moment and paying for it instead of him going through insurance. It happened last week on the way back from a shoot. Lucky I'm a spray painter otherwise It would have cost me even more.

As for your problems, there's many Land Rover breakers out there and many spares still available. Finding parts for these is like buying milk from Tesco. If you don't have any luck with the links above I'll find out contact details to where I got all the glass for the repairs to my bosses Land Rover, my mate sourced them out for me. Luckily glass is all I had to replace, being a Land Rover all the rest was solid, just a bit of filler and paint the whole side...sorted.

Many thanks. How you get your Landy sorted

Might be worth checking whether your insurance covers replacement body glass as well as windscreens - that way you can get it supplied and fitted at no cost to you.
