View attachment 33393 I found this image and was wondering if any one could possibly shine any light on the possible location, regiment our even the era....

It is printed on non descript paper and I found it inside a magazine called the "Silver Bugle, which had been printed in 1987.

I think the image is older than 1987 but I may be wrong.

Thanks in advance

The car in the background on its side looks a bit 80s.

LHD as well

The helmets look American too.

As there is a civvie car in the background, my suspicion is that the fighting (?) may have been centred around urban areas - Maybe a civil unrest of some sort? Wasn't there something kicking-off in the Lebanon in the 80's which the US concerned themselves with?

Regards, Sam

I'm with Sam B, I would have guess Lebanon as well. Boots are exactly like mine were. I've used the M60 as well. And the belt is exactly how I was taught to pack mine. Including the holster for my browning 9mm. All of the above was standard NATO issue and could be many a country, not just the US. We were in Lebanon as well and several other conflicts.

yes its the USA Army the one firing the GPMG ( wrong way to fire must have watch too many yanks war films ;) ) is wearing a side arm UK forces didn't carry side arms unless an officer, ( however think some troops do these days)
