Over 4 tonnes of Oak supported on two 3x3inch posts with a wedge or two to hold it.
When I started the saw my helper took to his heels & ran.
The saw went through it fine.;)

 
You mean nobody died because they din`t have a hi-viz vest on?..................;)

If those posts had slipped while I was going through that log with the saw & high viz jacket would have been the least of my problems!:D

A wee story about that job & hard hats.
I had a 10tonne overhead gantry crane over that saw. Got hit in the head with the hook one day & was felled.
Asked the then boss if I could get a hard hat & was told there was no need for one!
The following year he was dishing out written warnings if you stepped out of the office & did not have a hat & jacket on.
Always said he was a prize idiot.:D
