I love Monaco! best circuit and seems to always be a good race :) I recon you could be right about Lewis, hopefully his bad luck doesnt start this weekend though, as any small problem soon turns massive around there :(

monaco is great, i cant do a lap on the ps3 without crashing though..

james allen....well...****

massa is proving to be a bit better than kimi thought he would be, showing up his talent or lack thereof

Kimi is a bit of a prat. They were commenting on how he wouldn't talk to Schooie, which even if Micheal is full of himself he does have allot of wisdom he can impart as shown by Massa's result.

Just watching the Canadian GP Practice and Ralf nearly crushed a beaver on the track. As he was heading down the fast straight towards the final chicane this beaver just wandered across the track and was missed by millimeters. The tv close up was excellent. The beaver was oblivious :cuckoo:

That must be the only on track excitment that Ralf has caused all year!

action packed stuff today, nice to see my friend ralf getting involved in the carnage today, moving over while kubica tried to overtake him(or was it trulli?) made for outstanding 180mph crash...

well done to Lewis, hard race for him to win, fantastic

Was a bloody good race - some very funny and very scary moments. Best race I have seen in a long long time. They need more old tracks that keep the drivers on their heels.

that was a brilliant one, I loved the syncronised spinngin on the first corner and Sato' move on Alonso was the icing on the cake.

Can't wait till I go to Germany next month

Great race, had lots of action and incident, but best of all Lewis Hamiltons first win

seems it was trulli and massa who were in front of kubica when he went airbourne, some reports say he tagged the toyota, and others say he veered off track, trulli says he didnt move off line, so will be interesting to find out what happened.

Yep, he got airborne off the back of Trullis car. Not Trullis fault [for once], just one of those racinf accidents. Latest reports are that he has escaped with nothing worse than a sprained ankle, which is a mighty tribute to the strangth of modern F1 cars and the effectiveness of the HANS device [did you see his head moving flying around, limited by the hans straps?]

great race though, really fascinating from a strategy PoV and I was out of my seat screaming at Sato near the end, brilliant stuff :D Well done to lewis hamiton, no rookie has ever had tha level of backing he has had from a big team through the lower formula, but no rookie has ever made so much of such an opportunity! Very cool clear drives from Wurz & Heidfeld too, and Kovaliennen after his torrid weekend.

yeah, ralf managed to miss it, lil Ant didnt though! He got it and couldnt work out why he locked his tyres until afterwards

Finally watched the race last night. It was hell to try and keep from knowing what went on although I did know that Hamilton one... strictly because Ladbrokes put money in my account ;) Fantastic stuff. I haven't seen a race that kept me on the edge of my seat like that in a long time. Having an Aguri go around Alonso almost had me ******ing myself. Anyway hope Indy is as eventful. At least they have all the same tires this year so there will be more than 4 cars in the race.

Nice link never seen it live lucky animal

aye davidson broke his front wing, thats why he pitted while the team where not ready

this indy circuit looks painful in the midfield, all the cars seem to struggle. looking forward to it

Well I thought it was a great race. What did ya'll think of Alonso's little tantrum on lap 39 I believe it was?

I think he was showing his frustration at being beaten fair and square by Lewis and the team not "doing a Ferrari" and ordering Lewis to let Alonso pass. Alonso was clearly faster at that stage of the race but it was his job to find a way passed, not Hamilton's job to let him through! Mind you, his official statement is quite amusing:

"I followed the other car [Hamilton's] for so many laps my overalls and everything were so black because the carbon brakes were coming into me every braking point," said Alonso.

"I think my brakes were hotter, all my car was hotter than normal, so I tried to pull away from the slipstream sometimes just to cool the car."

  :D

Alonso needs to get into his head that McLaren is different to Renault. Flavio has always run his teams with a distinct number one driver and gone after the driver's title first. Ron on the other hand has always been focussed on the constructers title. I suppose this is the difference between being empolyed by the team and actually owning it.

So Alonso is now in an environment where who wins isn't as important as making sure one of the team wins and I think it's taking him a while to get used to this. From where I'm looking there's a fairly simple solution, he needs to be quicker in qualifying and get himself ahead of Hamilton from the start, just as happened in Monaco. With the championship situation as it is there is no way that Alonso will be given any form of preferential treatment.

Is he right to get annoyed? Probably not. I can see why he's getting annoyed and I can see why he'd expect, as the reigning champion, to be treated differently but it still comes back to the underlying ethos of the team he's in. If he want to win a third championship he needs to knuckle down and go and win it for himself rather than expecting it to be handed to him on a plate.

Agreed. His comments about not being comfortable in the team boil down mainly to what you have said - he has got too used to being numero uno, and is struggling to adapt to not having the whole team built around him but built around a car that can win championships. Having said that, Ron is not immune to having his 'golden haired boy [think Mika and Kimi] so if Alonso wants more preferential treatment he has two options, bleach those dark locks and get some blue contact lenses, or knuckle down and prove he is worth it! ;)

Speaking of Kimi - he is looking soooo disinterested it beggars belief. Ok, I admit, due to our london meet yesterday, I have seen laps 1-3 and the last 10 laps....I sort of slept through the rest :embarrassed: but I saw kimi having a half go at Massa when Massa made a small error.... and thats his failing, he should have capitalised on it, and just didnt! For me, Massa is looking much more like ferraris future than his far better paid team mate.
