Will be having a Nissin 622 mk 2 gun soon, can anyone recommend any of the diffusers which fit directly onto the flash. Will be using it for my newborn when he arrives and whenever else it will be useful.

It's more to do with learning how to bounce and balance with ambient, depending on the environment, for which you don't need much more than a bounce card www.abetterbouncecard.com The little pull-out one in the head is actually very handy, or make one with an index card and a rubber band.

I think Lumiquest makes the best flash attachments. I like their Quik-Bounce particularly, for its versatility, effectivness, efficiency, speed, and it packs flat.

Thanks Richard, the better bounce card looks good on the link, I would imagine lumiquest or someone does very similar in the uk? Will have a search and see what I can find.

About the only thing they don't do is a basic bounce card - v simple DIY. Try it with a piece of white card about the size of a cigarette packet, attached with a rubber band. The thing that makes most difference is the bounce surface, ie usually the ceiling.

Hi Michael, I made a bounce card from black and white pressed foam rubber, some glue and velcro strip all available from the craft shop. It looks almost identical to the larger one shown on the betterbouncecard video, but at a hugely lower cost. It can also adjust the curvature and 'tilt' the top section. It also lays completely flat, so is easy to carry.

Some commercial items are grossly overpriced IMHO.
