omg the mrs will kill me

Yeah I knew how much the horse cost......... the million and one things the horse needs and the kids need to ride it and the stabling and hay......................, let's say she really can't moan about a lens or two :)

I'd agreed with my girlfriend some time ago that I really didn't need to buy a 5d and that I'd leave it for at least a year before thinking about it again.

When she went away the next weekend I was unfortunately overcome by temptation and found myself at Calumet at lunch doing the deed. When she got back I had to explain why it was actually a perfectly sensible thing to do, then about how the following day I'd realised my Sigma 10-20mm didn't work on full frame so I'd had to drop a further £600 on a new L lens :)

Love this. Treated myself to some really expensive taylormade golf clubs once and hid credit card statement under the washing machine only to get busted when we moved house, wife found statement and threatened to cut my jacobs off - cracking clubs though.

Half of these stories sound like scenes from a bad 90s sitcom.

Quite glad I have one of those newfangled hippy relationships where we trust and talk to each other.

We're not rich, and when I splash out it could potentially mean something else has to wait, like a bill or 3 ...

Yea we don't have all that much cash floating around either, so thought it was more important to discuss where money goes. We have shared credit cards because it makes sense for the rewards, and for a marginally better credit rating. We're also saving towards a house and a new business, so makes sense to know where money is going.

Oh, and my girlfriend is my accountant - that would probably give some people in here a brain haemorrhage.
