Yep, 2000 not out. So :razz: to all my friends that said it would never last.

7 months of membership and I have reached a milestone, 2000 posts. Many would say I talk too much and I would probably agree, but I do want to use this post to say a few things about this forum.
Since joining back in April, I have learnt more about photography in 7 months, than in a lifetime of on and off camera ownership, including a couple of C&G photography modules at college. I have become more critical of my own work, more selective, more able to see the good and bad points of an individual picture, whether it be my own or someone elses. I look for pictures everywhere I go, carry the camera with me more often than not, and make a huge effort to take on board critism and learn, and feel pride when some better photographers than I will ever be praise my work.
However, more than that, I have found a forum full of people that love what they do, that aren’t here simply for the purpose of bitching at each other, that are open minded enough to enjoy a laugh with or without their cameras. It’s a huge community and getting bigger by the day, and there will always be some friction somewhere, but in general, the membership, from the youngest to the oldest is here to put in as much as they get out. The moderation is exactly that, moderate, because that’s all its needs to be and having been a moderator on a far bigger, more aggressive forum [non photography] trust me, that has been a breath of fresh air.
So, whilst I don’t want to sound like an ass licker [matty would get far too excited], I do want to say a big thanks, to the staff and to the members, because a community is only as good as its membership, this place ain’t half bad!
