Here's an unusual little camera. The Olympus LT-1 was late comer of the Olympus pocket film camera range and first appeared in the middle of the 1990s. It was a surprisingly effective little camera, if you could work out what to do with the flap, when taking pictures!

Olympus entered the fledgling digital SLR market in 2000 with the beautifully made, and surprisingly heavy, E10p, a 4MP camera that made no attempt to ape the interchangeable lens Nikon and Canon versions. Instead it went for an integrated 4X zoom lens with optional wide angle and tele front element adapters of astonishing size and weight!

Within a year, the E-20p came out with an upgraded 5MP sensor and other improvements. It was a very usable camera but it wasn't long before it was surpassed by various other designs and Olympus needed to rethink their strategy. It was still, though, a superbly made camera in the traditional mode...
