Olympus Trip 35 - How to use it?

I should be getting my Oly Trip 35 next week and i was wondering how much fiddling you can do I.E. changing aperture, shutter speed etc. What can be done?

Lovely camera with pin sharp lens. Favourite of my wife when we were into 35mm.

The focusing looks a but hit or miss! I think i need to learn how to estimate distance!

you can buy lovely little hot shoe mounting rangefinders on ebay sometimes, which would help you if you get into trouble.

Just be aware that you are restricted to only taking shots of either :-

A) A person on their own
B) 2 people, but one must be taller than the other
C) A group shot, consisting of 3 people, 1 shorter than the other 2

or

D) Mountains

If you can accept these limitations, it's a cracking little camera

My first 35mm - Ah the memories are coming flooding back.

As far as I can remember you leave it on Auto and adjust the F/stops only when using flash.
I think I may still have my one lurking around somewhere dark and dingy.

The Oly Trip 35 is a classic. Great sharpness...

Just set the aperture ring to 'A', and then select the focussing distance by using the little pictures engraved on the focus ring.

Yes, if you look at the base of the ring you'll see the dog engraving. It's right next to the 'beer' one...

Bloody hell, it's got the shutter speed upgrade too, no other way you caught those bottles before they were emptied! You'll be telling us next it's got red stripes and fluffy dice...
