Olympus tcon 1.7x on sony a200

Hi I have a Olympus tcon 1.7 lens and noticed that it will fit on my 18-70 kit lens is worth trying or am I wasting my time I take it that it won't damage it ?

Do you mean that you could screw it on the end of the kit lens like a filter?

if you want to magnify something then it should be OK.
Of course you now effectively have a 31-119mm lens & it may well lose you a stop or more exposure wise.
