Processed the first couple of more artistic shots taken with my PEN today. And suffice to say, I'm impressed!

Neither of these are my greatest works, but for a couple of snaps taken on a walk-about with a quick bit of PP, I'm chuffed!

It's a great size, al the controls are easily accessible once you get used to it. And best of all, no one eyes you with suspicion as they do when you get a dSLR out. I blended in perfectly with all the people taking snaps. Very liberating.

Lovely. The micro 4/3rds cameras are seriously tempting bits of kit. I don't think it would replace my slr, but as an inconspicuous good camera, they seem ideal. Did you register for the free converter that Olympus are doing at the moment?

No, it's not an SLR replacement, but it's nice as a compact that can be used to take seriously good photographs too.

I certainly have registered for the free converter:

However, I'm not really tempted to swap the kit 17mm lens for 'owt else... someone defeats the object of having an 'iccle' camera then!

Yeah, it's the fixed 17mm or 20mm combo that tempts me.

It's worth getting some old lenses and playing with them on the camera since you'll be getting the converter for them for free - one of the fun things about shooting Pentax is doing just that. Some of the old lenses are admittedly crap, but there are some real gems there too, and the metal bodies are very nice to hold and focus with.

The Panasonic 20mm f1.7 pancake lens works very well on the Olympus 4/3 cameras. Just make sure your firmware is up to date.

Nice shots, i just bought this camera yesterday (hopefully arriving this week) so looking forward to having a play. I got the 14-42mm lens with mine but at a shade over £300 all in plus i'll be sending off for that free convertor I'm not complaining! :D. Don't think it will replace my 50D but for days when I really can't be bothered carting 10Kilos of camera and lenses with me it looks ideal :)

Do you need to register another Olympus lens or camera to get the lens adapter? It says you have to register your E-Sytem products to qualify but i don't have any other olympus lenses yet. I was hoping to buy some AFTER I got the adapter

ive just google searched this and it looks like a good old skool look camera

These micro system camera's are the way forward however I refuse to buy until I see canon and Nikon offerings because I don't want to get into a system only to find that canon or Nikon might be better, I'm more interested in the G1 type bodies however when these cameras catch on and the become very popular then there will be more lenses and they will be cheaper so that's what I'm waiting for.

My dream would have been for Sony to create the a mount on there NEX and then have an NEX in the shape of the G1 and have a hotshoe however the lack of these means my micro system will either be with Panasonic/Olympus and definitely Canon/Nikon if they come up with a good system.

No you don't need too. I think it's just suggestion you register any other Olympus products you may have bought when you register your camera.

My adapter arrived today. Not sure if I'm even going to use it. I'm not planning on using any other lenses.. If I'm investing in glass, it will be for my Nikon system. I like the simplicity and compactness of it too much to go and spoil that by using a larger (size wise) lens.

Thanks for letting me know, I'll register the PEN and send off for mine tomorrow then :D. I'm in a similar position to you, i have the Canon 50D i would rather be buying lenses for but it's good to know the option is there for the PEN if i need it
